Carbon Trailing
     Pueblo Indian pots are among the most beautiful in the world.  Their gracefully curving forms mirror both the geographic surround of the high desert and the human body.  The joining of simplicity with detailed attention to shape and proportion give these pots their great character, and it is on these qualities that I try to borrow in the making of this carbon trailing or horsehair series.  Purportedly a Navajo tradition, the use of horsehair as a carbon decoration on these pots feels especially fitting.re to
